Case Study: Eskom Power is an electricity generation and distribution company in South Africa. Her operations relies on the strength of her work force. The Human Resources unit recently observed the increasing rate of absenteeism among staff and the consequent impact on productivity. This case study seeks to unravel the reasons for absenteeism, demographics of absent staff, trend of absenteeism and proffer sustainable solutions to curb the effect. The solution as presented to management will lead to improved productivity in the short term.
