About this project
Blackmores HR Dashboard - Tableau

1. Data Preparation
I cleaned missing data and made department and role names consistent.
I formatted date and category fields to make aggregation easier in Tableau.
I created calculated fields such as:
Attrition rate by department and education field
Age groups using bins for charts
Gender and age combinations for detailed attrition insights
Job satisfaction grouped by role
2. Data Analysis
Out of 1,470 employees, 16% left the company.
The Sales department made up about 39% of all employee exits.
The 25 to 34 age group, especially males, had the highest attrition rate.
Most employees were aged between 30 and 40.
Employees with Life Sciences and Medical degrees left more often than others.
Job satisfaction was highest among Sales Executives and Research Scientists and lowest in HR and management roles.
Key Insights
Males aged 25 to 34 in Sales are at higher risk of leaving, showing a need for better retention in early-career, high-stress roles.
Higher attrition among Life Sciences and Medical graduates may mean a mismatch between job expectations and their education.
A butterfly chart clearly showed male and female attrition trends by age group.
Job satisfaction visuals helped identify roles that may need cultural or management improvement.
Outcome and Impact
This project improved my skills in building HR dashboards with advanced visualisations in Tableau. The dashboard helps Blackmores HR Team to quickly identify high-risk employee groups, monitor satisfaction, and plan retention strategies effectively.
Tools Used
Excel for cleaning and preparing data.
Tableau for interactive dashboard creation and visualisation.
Dual-axis butterfly chart for gender and age-based attrition analysis.
