KMART Sales Dashboard

This Excel-based data analysis project was created to explore and visualise Kmart’s sales performance across regions, categories, and sales channels. I collected and cleaned raw transactional data to ensure consistency in product categories, sales types, and location names. Using Excel tools such as Pivot Tables, Charts, and Slicers, I transformed the dataset into an interactive dashboard that highlights sales trends and performance metrics in a clear and engaging way.
The dashboard analyses over $3.18 million in total sales, enabling users to compare store vs online sales, filter by year, category, or region, and instantly view performance across multiple dimensions. Dynamic visuals and conditional formatting make it easy to identify patterns and outliers, helping decision-makers gain quick insights into what drives revenue growth.
Tools and Techniques Used:
Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts, and Slicers)
Data Cleaning and Transformation
Conditional Formatting and Interactive Visual Design
Key Insights:
Kmart Stores generated 79% of total sales, outperforming online channels.
Victoria and New South Wales were the top-performing states by total revenue.
Home & Living and Footwear emerged as the highest-earning product categories.
Identified top-performing managers and buyers who significantly contributed to regional and category sales growth.
