Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

1. What data we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address, a securely hashed password, and any profile, education, experience, and project information you choose to add. We also record basic session and usage data to keep the Service working and to understand how it's used.

2. How we use it

We use your data to run your account and portfolio page, to send account-related emails (login links, password resets, service updates), to provide customer support, and, if you opt in, to send occasional newsletter emails. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Payment information

Payments for paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details: Stripe handles payment data directly under its own privacy policy.

4. Other services we use

We use Crisp for live chat support, which may process your messages and basic device information. Our infrastructure is hosted by our hosting/database provider. These providers only process data on our behalf, to help us run the Service.

5. Your portfolio is public

Anything you add to your published portfolio page is publicly visible at the URL you choose (e.g. profile, education, experience, projects). Don't include anything there you don't want public. PRO plans offer an option to prevent search engine indexing, but the page itself remains accessible to anyone with the link.

6. Cookies & sessions

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete most of your data directly from your dashboard at any time. You can also contact us to request a copy of your data or to have your account deleted. If you're in the UK/EU, you have rights under UK/EU data protection law, including the right to object to certain processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date above.
