About

In 2023, I developed an interest in Data Engineering and Data Science after being introduced to DBMS in school. Initially, I expected to focus on data analysis with PowerBI and Tableau, but I was surprised to find that the program had a strong emphasis on data science. Lacking a technical background, I considered dropping out in the first semester due to difficulties understanding statistical concepts and linear algebra. However, I persuaded the admissions office to let me switch from an MBA to an MS in Big Data Analytics for a trial semester and I was determined to succeed. Surprisingly, the first semester was tailored for beginners, enabling me to catch up and succeed in the field. I am also proud to say that I will be the only female graduating from my masters next summer.
