Hello! My name is Tait Rourke and I have been an analyst for 5 years, originally starting my professional career as an Intelligence Analyst with the United States Army. I have undergraduate, graduate, and private education experience in analytics and data science. I am currently working with Amgen where I create intelligence and data products weekly to track project health and cost.

LiftLine - My Personal Fitness Blog

LiftLine is a personal fitness blog I've created to showcase my programming ability around one of my passions - physical fitness! By doing so, I am also able to share tips and experiences that allow new gym goers to learn and feel motivated to better themselves.

Health Insurance Rate Analysis

Insurance rates have been increasing quite rapidly across the board and continue to change based on various factors. Because of this, I decided to explore the trends in a recently collected health insurance premiums dataset by cleaning the data and creating various visualizations.

Salary Regression Model

As a beginner machine learning project, I decided to utilize data regarding salary and years of experience to create a linear regression model with the pandas and scikit-learn packages on python.

State Fraud Detection

As the Data Specialist for the state, I often work with auditors to identify fraudulent claims within state plans. In this instance, I am matching death records with transactions to identify who may be filing false claims and of what quantity.

Data Specialist - State of RI

Design and manage a comprehensive relational database encompassing state plans, personnel records, and benefits information. Employ SQL and other programming languages to discern errors, detect trends, and extract critical insights from the data. Collaborate closely with the auditing team to facilitate state plan assessments and fiscal audits, ensuring accuracy and integrity throughout the process.

Survey and Design Technician - Amtrak

Utilize Leica Geosystem software and equipment to collect and analyze Amtrak infrastructure as a means of data points. Create cutsheets and field reports identifying trends and errors in data to then disperse to the track design team and superiors.

Utilize personnel, weaponry, and field reporting databases to conduct mission planning, threat analysis, and assist in overall decision making at a unit scale. Create daily intelligence summaries as well as ad-hoc reports/presentations regarding specified requests for information.

Studies of Economics as well as Natural Resource Management with a focus on analytics. This included Price Valuation Methods, Business Dataset Analytics, Front End Programming, Back End Programming, Communication, Mathematics, Environmental and Financial Policy, Project Management, and Infrastructure Analysis courses. I managed to complete this degree in only 7 semesters achieving deans list on 3 occasions.
