data analyst sociologist specializing in social networks

Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina

About

I am an advanced student of sociology at the UBA of Social Sciences. The last two years of my degree I specialized in social network studies. Some of the factors studied have been: feelings/emotions, cultural trends, behavioral patterns, and social groups on the internet. Sociology offers a scientific, rigorously constructed view (methodology) that reveals group (or audience) compositions, emotion trends, and communication rules and behaviors. This allows data to be constructed or analyzed. For this I have learned to use SQL and Python which made it possible to obtain digital inputs to study digital phenomena. Moving in this environment led me to learn the essentials of editing and marketing strategies.

Skills

Projects

Building a variable of game time duration with League of Legends data.

I worked with the site www.opgg.com which offers League of Legends statistics. It offers the data of the gambling (cs) per game by division. This data is decontextualized without the average duration time per game by division. This data was obtained by scrapes and calculations.

Building a variable of time spend by "climbers" of League of Legends data.

Web scrape in OPGG to obtain an index of the number of games per division according to server. A comparison was made between the Korean server and the South Latin American server looking at the players who spend more time in the game by playing to climb the ranks (climbers).

Estimated revenue collection through the SUBE transport system in Buenos Aires,

Using official data from the Argentine Ministry of Transportation, which provides the exact number of SUBE card activations, plus the creation of an ideal standard fare to generate an estimate of state revenue.

Beyond KPIs, a sociological approach to Tik Tok data analysis

The idea is to complement a possible KPI analysis of a political TikTok account. Categories were created to give more depth and context to the analyzed data of a TikTok account with more than 3 million followers, dedicated to the president, now elected, of Argentina.
